Previously worked in the field of international cooperation on nature, environmental and climate protection, especially in collaboration with civil society partners from Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan).

- Transfer of scientific knowledge: exchange between people from science, civil society, economy, and politics
- Mentalities and transformation processes towards bio-based economies in interregional comparison: experiences, tendencies and attitudes
- Societal relations to nature
